Coast tells the story of a couple returning to Geraldton and their encounter with a young woman who provokes them to confront their own lives, identities and hopes for the future of their unborn child, and come to terms with the sometimes troubling, ghosts from the past.
Set in contemporary Geraldton, with historical flashbacks to the forces and events which forged Geraldton’s character, the play explores often in a comic way, the complexities and contradictions of the tricks, truths and distortions of memory and the positives and drawbacks of returning to a place where vivid and formative experiences occurred.
