FRATERNAL

$5.40$15.00

Darcy and Kent are brothers.

They have a sister named Imogen, and Paula is Kent's girlfriend.

Darcy and Kent are brothers, and they're housemates, and they're very close. Some would say 'too close'. Like, even you might say that.

Fraternal shares with us a secret that only two boys know.

This play examines a family of siblings and the organs sustaining it.

This is a funny, goofy, sharp play about love, and about boys, and about family.

Oh and incest.

EXTRACT: Aw he’s a bit of a shit, he’s a shit dad, shit guy. I don’t think he wanted kids, or he did and then he lost interest. I dunno. He’s an alcoholic, which I thought would affect me, but like, it affected me more than I thought it would. Like – and stop me when I’m boring – but only recently I pegged down like, I didn’t know why I felt shame more deeply than most people, which is a thing I do, which is like a thing I do that I worked out from just like, talking to my mates. Like I just feel guilt and shame a lot more than a lotta people. And I worked out, through like, just meditating on it, that like, yeah, because a lot of the time when my dad would be disciplining me and my sister, he’d be drunk, yeah? Which we didn’t know.
