RIVER

$5.40$10.00

River is the story of an access visit between 12 year old Jake and his father, Ray. It begins on the banks of a river in a dreamy, poetic and tender scene between father and son. Ray is living in a men's hostel, unemployed and irredeemably sad. They both know that Jake has to return to his mother, but Ray can't let him go. As day turns into night, Ray finds himself unable to maintain the fiction of "functional dad". A rite-of-passage play, River explores the terrible impact of depression on families.
