Wet season, Saturday night, a party, a car crash.
Abby's boyfriend Jasper and best friend Belinda are killed. Abby, the driver, wakes up in a hospital bed to her only visitor - the stranger Orpheus, who pulled her from the wreckage. Orpheus comforts her with New Age philosophy, a stolen joint and bad singing.
As Abby tries to come to terms with the loss and the guilt, Jasper and Belinda are coming to terms with the Underworld. Each is met by a Spiritual Guide who takes them through a process of Judgement.
Meanwhile, hot-shot lawyer Di arrives at Abby's bedside to prepare her for trial, as Abby has been charged with dangerous driving causing death. Abby, Belinda and Jasper each face their trials alone, and account for what really happened on the night of the accident.
"...an excellent script packed with relevant issues and leavened by plenty of humour... an authentic depiction of contemporary youth..." - Sean Kavanagh, Lowdown, August 2004
