Vikala's husband died three years ago and for three years she has remained pregnant. Faced with the choice of spiritual and physical death if she will not confront her fears or the promise of life if she will, Vikala embarks on a journey into the anarchic and contradictory world of her psyche, accompanied by the ever-watching Nightbird.
