Michael is an award-winning playwright and short story writer. His play, In This Waking Hour was shortlisted for the 2013 Patrick White Award. Another of his plays, Terra Nullius was shortlisted for the 2014 VARNA International Playwrights Contest. His play, The Water’s Edge received a commendation award in the 2013 Fellowship of Australia writing competition.
