William Dobson, a Vietnam Vet, is a poet with a past and a gift for the doggerel. He is found on the beach, drunk, down and almost out, by two sisters, Rose and Daphne. Rose, a wild radical, is writing an article on Swinburne the Victorian poet, Daphne makes sandwiches and trifle.
They take Dobson to their eldest sister, Lily, a friend of the Minister of the Arts (ex Minister for Defence) and Dobson is to be made the first Australian Poet Laureate.
The result is a series of cultural explosions staged by three of the most unlikely terrorists.
