When the war comes it comes for everyone, even the children.

Here’s a uniform, here’s a gun.
You meet the height requirements so congratulations kid, you’re a soldier.

Mum’s been sent to the army, dad’s been shipped off to a labour camp and enemy soldiers have taken over your town.

But you’re just a kid.

You can fight, you can hide, you can try and make friends with the enemy, but you can’t escape the war.

Inspired by real events of World War One, When the War Comes to Town, takes place in a small village occupied by an enemy force. Children caught up on both sides of the conflict have to find a way to live and live with their own actions.

When the War Comes to Town is suitable for performers aged 10 - 18.
