His frustration leads him to sell, not his soul, but his body in a demonic pact. We trace the events of Barclay's life as he gives up body parts progressively to satisfy his craving for artistic renown. A futuristic Gothic atmosphere, delicious language and "depraved satire" make this a distinctively funny play.
