I am an Anglo-Tasmanian author, artist and playwright. In primary school my best friend and I used to make up shows for our parents. I was sick with envy when, in Last Term at Malory Towers, Darrell Rivers wrote a play that her class performed. I wanted that to be me. Finally, in 2018, it was me, when my React Drama Academy class performed 2 short plays penned by me. Since then they’ve performed another 2 plays and I have produced 3 of my plays at OneFest, Hobart’s one act play festival. The audience laughed at all my jokes! And I realised the noble role of comedy, because laughter really is the best medicine, physiologically and psychologically.
